Fully Licensed Therapist – Remote Contractor (IL/MI)

Sohail Counseling & Care is a values-driven, virtual private practice offering relational, culturally mindful therapy to emerging adults, modern adults, and couples across Illinois and Michigan.

We’re currently seeking fully licensed clinicians (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist) to join our growing team as 1099 independent contractors.

This is a flexible, fully remote role ideal for therapists who are passionate about identity, culture, relationships, and healing- and who want to work in a practice that honors the full humanity of clients and clinicians alike.

What We’re Looking For:

◦ You’re fully licensed in Illinois or Michigan
◦ You enjoy working with adults and/or couples
◦ You bring a warm, thoughtful, and curious presence to the therapy space
◦ You value justice, intersectionality, and representation in mental health
◦ You’re comfortable working independently and managing your schedule

Responsibilities:

◦ Provide individual or couples therapy via HIPAA-compliant telehealth
◦ Maintain timely clinical documentation
◦ Collaborate with our admin/billing team as needed
◦ Participate in optional peer support spaces and community events

Requirements:

◦ Full independent licensure (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist) in IL or MI
◦ 2+ years post-grad experience (1+ in private practice or similar setting preferred)
◦ Strong clinical writing and time management skills
◦ Comfortable working remotely and using EHR systems
