Special Events & Event Rentals Internship

Special Events & Event Rentals Internship

Applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis and interviews will begin on July 1. Applications will not be considered after July 15.
 
Work behind the scenes with the Special Events team, assisting with the daily planning, logistics, coordination, and execution of Wolf Traps major fundraising events that help raise more than $1.7 million annually.
  • Assist with event invitation and RSVP process by managing information in the donor database
  • Coordinate set-up and on-site registration at events
  • Execute membership fulfillment and cultivation events
  • Other projects include planning silent auctions, raffles, and members-only trips
  • Interact with donors, prospects, and board members on the phone, through email, and on-site at events
 
Requirements
  • Passion for creating fun, engaging events
  • Exceptional customer service skills, creativity, and initiative
  • Outstanding writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills (MS Word and Excel), experience with Raiser's Edge software is helpful but not necessary
  • Efficient organizational skills and ability to multitask
 
Expected Duration: 12 weeks (part-time)
 
Pay rate: $11/hour
 
This is a hybrid position (in-person and remote work). Applicants must be local to the DC metro area for the duration of their internship assignment to attend select in-person meetings and/or events.
