WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Oversee and manage all activities for Material Management/supply chain including but not limited to transferring orders to NetSuite system, purchasing, receiving, storage and distribution of raw materials, general components, equipment, supplies, product storage and shipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Check purchase requests in Quartzy and NetSuite system for accuracy, completeness, and approval to ensure purchasing policy requirements are adhered to.
  • Assign Purchase Order (PO) for all approved purchase requests.
  • Order routine general supplies such as gloves, clean room garments, pipettes, and general consumables.
  • Ensure materials are purchased with a predetermined budget in accordance with Sorrento Purchase Policy.
  • Set up new vendor accounts and maintain existing vendor accounts.
  • Ensure materials are stored in accordance with storage requirements as specified on the Supplier’s C of A, packaging, markings and /or label requirements.
  • Contact vendors to track orders as needed by requestors.
  • Cooperate with Accounts Payable (AP) to match prices/items on incoming invoices.
  • Perform packaging and shipping of products to subcontractors and CMOs.
  • Follow cGMPs and Good Documentation Practices as it applies to Job functions.
  • Ensure Materials Control Area is clean and well organized.
  • Order and ship supplies for other sub-contractors, CMOs and JV as necessary.
  • Assist with maintenance of clinical supplies (product, containers closure systems, enviro-coolers, packaging materials, temperature monitors, shipping labels, and Quarantine Tape, etc.)
  • Assist with other selected work on an as needed basis without compromising GMP responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in inventory management or related field preferred.
  • Data Entry experience preferred.
  • Experience with a paper Document Control System preferred.
  • Experience with both paper and electronic or hybrid systems preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GMPs preferred.
  • FDA and/ or another regulatory agency experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work on a team and independently.
