Applicant Type: Primarily Human Services students. Will also consider related fields such as sociology, psychology, geriatrics, and others.
Description: Provide supportive services to seniors and disabled adults living in Skagit County. These services can include the following:
- Wellbeing Assessments
- Light Case Management
- Possible transportation for errands or medical appointments
- Data Collection/Recording
- Resource Compilation
Volunteer Benefits: Resume building; references; mileage reimbursement; connection with and contribution to the community.
Location & Timeline: Ongoing. Time commitments and scheduling can be discussed with the Program Coordinator, and specified to the student’s availability.
Community Need Met: Providing essential supportive services for elderly and disabled adults, enabling them to continue to live outside assisted living arrangements and remain connected to the community.
