Youth & Community Engagement Manager

SCHEDULE: Schedule may be variable, but typical hours will be Monday through Friday business hours. This schedule may be adjusted according to program or project needs.

This position is responsible for managing two areas of focus for the Anchor Community Initiative (ACI), which aims to functionally end youth homelessness in Clark County. Half of the position time will be dedicated to achieving the ACI “Youth Voice Gold Standard.” This includes recruitment and supervision of a Youth Action/Advisory Board (YAB), consisting of young people ages 12-24 who have lived experience of homelessness, as well as participation in YAB-related workgroups and subcommittees. The other half of the position time will be dedicated to engaging By/For agencies working to end youth homelessness. With a specific focus on LGBTQ+ and BIPOC populations, this includes integrating By/For agency efforts into the broader ACI mission, as well as providing technical assistance and partnering in strategy development with By/For agencies. This position functions as a community liaison; the person in this role is expected to attend a variety of community engagement meetings and workgroups, as well as to increase involvement from young people and By/For agency representatives in relevant meetings and workgroups.
