Administrative Support Assistant

This position is assigned to our mailroom and facilities component of the Administrative Services department. Positions within this team execute of shipping and receiving using various vendors, obtaining and coordinating supplies for both office staff and field locations. Facilities responsibilities can include skills related to maintaining the facility and facilitating vendor repairs. Other duties as assigned. Telework is not available for these positions as work to be performed requires in house presence.  Work hours can occasionally be irregular and require overtime and weekend work based on the occurrence and demands of supporting our disaster recovery workforce.
 
GS-07: To qualify you must have at least 1 full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-06 level in the Federal service that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skill, and ability to perform successfully in this position. This experience may have been gained in a Non-Federal service position. In addition, this Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following:
  • Performing functions in at least (3) of the following administrative support areas for an office or organization: procurement and/or supply, facilities management, asset management, accountable property, mailroom operations, AND
  • Providing administrative support for the deployment of personnel, equipment/materials to the field or to other geographical areas to support the mission of an office/organization; AND
  • Using Microsoft Office Suite, Chrome/Internet Explorer or comparable computer applications/programs to create spreadsheets and reports, do research, send and respond to emails, etc.
