Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor CADC/QMHA

Yamhill County has one regular, full-time position for a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) with a minimum certification of CADC I. This position will provide Drug and Alcohol services as part of an integrated Behavioral Health Outpatient treatment setting for adults. Duties will include conducting Alcohol & Drug assessments, developing A&D service plans, providing individual and group A&D treatment, collecting and monitoring urinalysis processes and outcomes, and providing community education for substance use/abuse prevention. All services are to be documented in the Electronic Health Record system in a timely manner.
 
The Qualifications:
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a social services field and at least one year of experience in addition to CADC I and QMHA certification. Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above. Must have an NPI number or be able to obtain one upon employment. Will be subject to successful completion of a background check. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
 
Special Requirements:
The State of Oregon requires all Health Services and Clinic employees to complete their COVID-19 vaccination series or have an approved exemption to the requirement due to a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief. Successful candidates for this position must submit vaccination documentation or be approved for an exemption prior to their first day of employment. Failure to provide proof of full documentation or receipt of an approved exemption will lead to withdrawal of the job offer.
 
The Candidate:
The successful candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of techniques specifically related to community behavioral health services and the ability to: understand the behavior of people under stress, understand the impact of trauma on family dynamics; develop cooperative relationships with clients, their families, and the community; maintain relationships with physicians, law enforcement agencies, the courts, public and private administrators, and the community in general; interpret community behavioral health services, and prepare concise and complete clinical documentation; they shall have a strength-based and trauma-informed approach, and integrate these concepts into evidence-based practices to promote the recovery process with clients. Additionally, they must demonstrate excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, and will be dependable, organized, self-directed, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to work in a team environment and to interact with co-workers, clients, and the public in a courteous, professional manner.
