Research Specialist I_Transgenic Mouse Services

Summary
The Transgenic Mouse Services Core at the Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a talented and motivated Research Specialist I in Tampa, FL.
 
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience in cell culture is essential
  • Expertise in ES cell culture is preferred

Responsibilities:
  • The candidate will assist in and perform a variety of techniques such as:
  •  Embryonic Stem (ES) cell isolation, growth and expansion,
  • ES cell targeting,
  • PCR,
  • Southern Blot.
  • Moreover, the candidate will perform routine lab duties such as preparing media, buffers and stocking lab supplies.

Credentials and Qualifications:
  • Minimum high school diploma, AA/AS degree preferred, or a BA/BS (desired).
  • Minimum of 3 years in a science-related field with a High School diploma OR
  • 1 year of laboratory experience with AA/AS degree OR
  • No experience required with BS/BA degree.
