Crisis Interventionist
We are looking for a Crisis Interventionist to join our Mobile Crisis Team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
Below Bachelor's: $18.00/hour
Peer Counselor: $19.50/hour
Bachelor's: $21.50/hour
Master's: $25.32/hour

AVAILABLE SHIFTS:
Full-Time: Day Shift, Wednesday - Saturday, 7:00am - 5:00pm
This position is eligible for $2/hour shift differential for eligible hours on Swing and NOC shifts and hours worked on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE:
- Washington State Counselor credential required (AAC).
- Must have an Associates degree with 2 years of relevant experience, Washington State Peer Counselor Certification, or a Bachelors Degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Must be able to pass WA State Patrol background check. Also, a national background check if you haven't lived in WA State consecutively the last 3 years.
- Must be able to gain clearance to the Lewis County Jail.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
- Must be able to represent the agency in a positive and professional manner.
- Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Must comply with agency policies and procedures.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
- Must be able to gain access to all types of buildings and residences regardless of the structures’ handicapped accessibility or lack thereof.
- Must maintain current home telephone and address on file with the HR office.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Responsible for face to face and phone crisis intervention, stabilization and resolution services for individuals or families experiencing acute emotional distress or loss of behavioral control, at the individual’s location at home or in the community.
- Responsible for providing services to individuals experiencing acute symptoms of mental illness which present risk of harm to self or others for the purpose of appropriate referral to the DCR.
- Maintain knowledge of Lewis County community resources in order to refer individuals and/or families to resources that may resolve crisis.
- Communicate follow up actions needed with on-coming crisis team.
- Provide follow-up contact to individuals, families and agencies involved in crisis stabilization and resolution responses.
- Assist in facilitation of voluntary hospitalization for clinically appropriate individuals and coordinate with DCR to carry out involuntary placement as a collateral provider.
- Provides consultation, education and liaison with law enforcement, school, health personnel and other appropriate collateral agencies and groups.
- Maintain knowledge of Lewis County community resources in order to refer individuals and/or families to resources that may resolve crisis.
